EL CENTRO 性视界传媒 On May 10, the rhythm of resilience will echo through Main Street as Shimmy Mob Team Imperial Valley brings its annual dance performance to Her Studio, in a celebration of empowerment and solidarity for survivors of domestic violence.

Coinciding with World Belly Dance Day, the Shimmy Mob event is more than a vibrant cultural performance 性视界传媒 it性视界传媒檚 a powerful fundraising and awareness campaign for WomanHaven, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence throughout the Imperial Valley.

This year性视界传媒檚 event includes an indoor performance at Her Studio, followed by an outdoor dance at the park across the street.

The team性视界传媒檚 goal is to raise both funds and consciousness around the often-silenced issue of domestic abuse, with 100% of donations going toward WomanHaven's essential services, including shelter, therapy, legal support and outreach programs.

性视界传媒淲e believe in the power of what women can do,性视界传媒 WomanHaven Executive Director Gina Vargas said. 性视界传媒淓ach step and each movement represents a journey 性视界传媒 from fear to freedom. Through dance, survivors are telling their stories of courage and hope.性视界传媒

This year's performance takes on added significance with the involvement of Her Studio, a new community dance space in El Centro. As Vargas described, the studio was created as a manifestation of the owner性视界传媒檚 dream to create a space where women can express themselves, heal and thrive.

Vargas highlighted how visibility from public events like this can change lives: 性视界传媒淭he most powerful messages are often unspoken. Dance allows us to show those who are still trapped in abusive relationships that they are not alone 性视界传媒 that healing is possible and joy is within reach.性视界传媒

WomanHaven serves all genders 性视界传媒 men, women and children 性视界传媒 affected by domestic violence. Their programs not only provide emergency shelter and basic needs but also offer therapy, counseling and long-term support to break the cycle of abuse.
