Man with bench warrant apprehended

El Centro police officers arrested an unemployed man in an undisclosed area with two bench warrants for failure to appear in court on a felony and resisting arrest.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show Jesus Manuel Rodriguez, 19, was booked into the county jail at 11:30 a.m. on May 11 without bail for the bench warrants and a $5,000 bail for resisting arrest.

Man arrested for child stealing

El Centro police officers arrested a man for child stealing, according to Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs.

Sheriff's records show Alejandro Vasquez, 48, was booked into the county jail at 10:55 a.m. on May 10 with a $25,000 bail.

Man caught for inflicting corporal injuries

El Centro police officers arrested a man at the 2100 block of West Holt Avenue for inflicting corporal injuries on a spouse or cohabitant.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read Daniel Badilla Maldonado, 25, was booked into the county jail at 6:17 p.m. on May 9 with a $50,000 bail.

Woman caught for violation of court order

El Centro police officers arrested a woman in the 2100 block of West Holt Avenue for resisting arrest and violation of a court order for domestic violence.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read Alyana Pilialoha Huezo, 23, was booked into the county jail at 2:17 a.m. on May 10 with a $10,000 bail.

Man booked for parole violation

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show James Bradley Hendrix, 41, was booked into the county jail at 3:03 a.m. on May 10 for parole violation.

According to the logs, the individual was arrested by El Centro police officers at the 600 block of North Imperial Avenue.

Woman booked for attempted murder

Brawley police officers arrested a woman in an undisclosed area under allegations of first-degree attempted murder and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read that Michelle Antonia Rodriguez, 43, was booked into the county jail at 10:39 a.m. on May 11 with a $1 million bail.

Man booked for false impersonation

California Highway Patrol El Centro Office agents arrested a man for false impersonation. The suspect was booked with a $25,000 bail, Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show.

The logs read Edgar Geovanni Virgen Trejo, 32, was booked into the county jail at 6:46 p.m. on May 9 after being arrested on State Route 111, just south of State Route 78.

USBP arrests man for drug-related offenses

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a man at West Main Street and Rio Vista Avenue for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

According to Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs, German Arellano Arteaga, 50, was booked into the county jail at 1:06 p.m. on May 9 with a $25,000 bail.

Overdosed man revived

An overdosed man who was found near this city on Saturday night was revived by first responders.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show the individual was found at 10:55 p.m. on May 10 by East Holton Road.

The 30-year-old man was initially found breathing by the reporting party. The individual was reported to be two minutes later, not breathing, with his lips turning blue.

The reporting party told the sheriff's office that other people in the residence were providing CPR on the individual.

At 11:00 p.m., the individual was awake and alert after being provided two doses of Narcan.

Paramedics arrived to medically clear the individual who declined being transported to the hospital.

Structure fire reported

A fire was reported on early Sunday by Mesquite Avenue, Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read.

The case was reported at 2:39 a.m. on May 11 after a reporting party told the sheriff's office about a house on fire without any residents inside.

The authorities evacuated a house north of the residence on fire, and the Imperial Irrigation District was called at the scene.

A second-alarm was issued, and homes along Mesquite Avenue were also evacuated. The affected home was reported to be fully engulfed in flames.

The logs read that a resident was taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital for redness to his back and shoulders.

According to the logs, Holtville firefighters contained the fire with the help of allied agencies. The scene was turned over to the Holtville Fire Department, which will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

Pedestrian killed in traffic accident

A pedestrian died on Friday after a driver ran over the victim, Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read.

The case occurred at Sixth Street and Pine Avenue at 11:10 p.m. on May 9.

According to the logs, the pedestrian was found unresponsive and bleeding from his mouth. The victim also had a laceration to the head.

The authorities called the Coroner's Office at 11:37 p.m.

The logs read a white, four-door Honda Civic was removed by a towing company for storage. The vehicle was taken to the sheriff's office for evidence.

According to the logs the Special Investigations Unit was called to the scene.

Man with out-of-county arrest warrant caught

Imperial County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man on Sunday afternoon at the East Port of Entry with an out-of-county arrest warrant.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show Customs and Border Protection officers out of the East Port of Entry called the sheriff's office at 2:27 p.m. on May 11.

CBP reported that a man with an out-of-county arrest warrant was detained.

According to the logs, Juan Noe Magana-Manjarrez, 44, was detained with a $55,000 bail felony arrest warrant out of Gardena issued on April 22, 2025, for burglary and petty theft.

The suspect was booked into the county jail at 4:26 p.m. on May 11 with a $55,000 bail.

Calexico police officers arrested a woman in an undisclosed area for inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read that Ashley Gamez, 26, was booked into the county jail at 3:38 p.m. on May 11 with a $50,000 bail.

Alleged shoplifter arrested

Calexico police officers arrested a man with a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a felony charge at the intersection of Highway 98 and Paulin Avenue, under a charge of shoplifting.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read that Andres de Jesus Baggett, 30, was booked into the county jail at 7:47 p.m. on May 10 with a $2,500 bail for the shoplifting charge and a $10,000 bail for the bench warrant.

Man with out-of-county warrant apprehended

Imperial County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man at the East Port of Entry with an out-of-county arrest warrant.

According to Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs, Ernesto Gonzalez, 30, was booked into the county jail at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, with a $25,000 bail.

The logs also show the suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Orange County.

Man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon

Calexico police officers arrested a man at the 1100 block of Andrade Avenue for assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism with property damage, and parole violation.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read Richard Urena, 36, was booked into the county jail at 10:40 a.m. on May 9 with a $25,000 bail for the first two offenses and without bail for the parole violation.

Man arrested for DUI, resisting arrest

Calexico police officers arrested a man in the 200 block of East Cole Boulevard under allegations of driving under the influence and resisting arrest.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show Jon Louis Hernandez Orsini, 29, was booked into the county jail at 3:51 a.m. on May 10 with a $5,000 bail.

Agents with the California Highway Patrol El Centro Office arrested a man near this town for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read Ralph Wade Collazo, 35, was arrested at Evan Hewes Highway east of Forrester Road.

The suspect was booked into the county jail at 1:43 a.m. on May 10 with a $2,500 bail.

Driver arrested

A driver was arrested and a vehicle impounded early Monday here, according to Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs.

The case was recorded at 2:28 a.m. on May 12 at First Street and Luxor Avenue, where a deputy stopped the driver of a black 2015 Kia Forte with a California registration assigned to another model.

The deputy found the suspect was sought by law enforcement, the logs read.

The vehicle was removed by a towing company for storage, and the driver was taken to the Imperial County Jail.

Biker stopped, arrested

A bicycle rider was stopped, arrested, and booked early Sunday for possession of methamphetamine, Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show.

The suspect was stopped at 1:04 a.m. on May 11 at Fourth Street and Luxor Avenue.

According to the logs, the suspect, Elian Martin Perez Rios, 25, was booked into the county jail at 3:45 a.m. on May 11 with a $5,000 bail.

Imperial County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man here on Malat Avenue with a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a felony.

According to Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs, Mark Anthony Mora, 43, was booked into the county jail at 3:18 a.m. on May 11 without bail.

Man under presumed possession of paraphernalia caught

Agents with the California Highway Patrol El Centro Office arrested a man here on Saturday evening for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read that the suspect was stopped at 6:51 p.m. on May 10 at Highway 86 and North Marina Drive while driving a vehicle with a California registration assigned to a different model.

The logs read that Marcos Fuentes, 36, was booked into the county jail for the drug-related offense and a local arrest warrant.

U.S. Border Patrol agents booked a man into the county jail on Sunday night for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful paraphernalia.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs read that Alexis Bojorquez, 24, was booked into the county jail at 11:09 p.m. on May 11 with a $5,000 bail.
