According to the logs, one of the individuals was identified as Joshua Nathan Guardado, 22. The suspect was booked into the county jail by the Brawley Police at 7:37 p.m. on March 20 for first-degree attempted murder, being an accessory after the fact, and conspiracy to commit a crime with a $1 million bail.
The logs also show Alejandro Nunez, Jr., 21, was booked by Brawley police at 4:56 a.m. on March 21 with a $5,000 bail for first-degree attempted murder, carrying a stolen loaded firearm, manufacturing or selling a large capacity magazine, and with a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a felony.
According to the logs, Francisco Javier Ruiz, 20, was booked into the county jail by Brawley police at 5:17 a.m. on March 21 with a $1 million bail for first-degree attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The police said the fourth individual involved in the case is a teenager. No details were provided in the logs about this arrest.
On Friday evening, the Brawley Police Department announced the arrest of four suspects, including a minor, of SundayÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s shooting.
On March 16, 2025, at approximately 12:11 a.m., a shooting incident occurred in Brawley, near the intersection of North Imperial and River.
Following a thorough investigation, the Brawley Police Department Investigations Team has apprehended the individuals involved in this incident, BPD said.
The suspects, aged 22, 21, 23, and 17, have been formally charged with attempted murder, being an accessory to murder, and unlawful possession of firearms.
During the arrest, two semiautomatic handguns were recovered by the police.
Earlier this week, BPD said a 17-year-old Brawley teen was injured in a shooting late Sunday night, marking the latest in a series of violent incidents in the city.
According to the press statement, officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots near the 1000 block of North Imperial Avenue at approximately 12:11 a.m. on March 16. Upon arrival, they discovered the teenage victim with a gunshot wound to his thigh. He was transported to Pioneers Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Investigators recovered 9mm shell casings at the scene, but no suspect or motive has been identified at this time.
On March 4, a fatal shooting shook the community, and on January 25, another shooting occurred at the Chevron station on Main Street.
