BRAWLEY 性视界传媒 The Brawley City Council will meet on Tuesday, July 1, to discuss, among other items, the contract with City Manager Rebecca Terrazas-Baxter.
The meeting, scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., includes a report by Assistant City Manager Emmet Fried regarding the contract.
The assistant city manager will recommend that the council ratify the employment contract with the incoming city manager.
性视界传媒淔ollowing a comprehensive search and selection process, Rebecca Terrazas-Baxter was selected as the most qualified candidate for the position of City Manager,性视界传媒 Fried wrote in his report that was previously approved by interim City Manager Jimmy Duran and Finance Director Silvia Luna. 性视界传媒淭he contract has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney and aligns with the city's policies and budget.性视界传媒
The three-year employment contract includes an annual salary of $192,000 in year one, a $202,000 salary in year two, and a $212,000 salary in year three. This translates into a 5.20% increase in July 2026 and a 4.95% increase in July 2027, or a 10.41% increase in two years.
性视界传媒淭he above salaries represent the base salary amounts and do not include any increases that may result from the Employee's annual performance evaluations,性视界传媒 the contract reads. 性视界传媒淎ny approved merit-based increases, as outlined in Section 3 (Annual Review), shall be applied to the applicable base salary retroactive to July 21 of each year.性视界传媒
The city council will conduct at least one performance evaluation per year based on the execution of duties and an approved work plan. If the city manager receives a satisfactory performance evaluation for Year 1, the employee should receive a 2% salary increase to the Year 2 base salary and a 3% increase to the Year 3 base salary.
性视界传媒淎ny approved salary increase resulting from the annual evaluation shall be retroactive to July 21 of the applicable year, regardless of the evaluation date,性视界传媒 the contract notes.
The contract also covers payment of business expenses, memberships, travel, short courses, and seminars, while expenses not specifically budgeted require prior approval of the City Council. Also, the contract covers a $400 monthly car allowance and a $75 monthly cell phone allowance payment.
The contract reads that the employee agrees to reside within a thirty-minute response time to the Administration office.
Terrazas-Baxter, like most city employees, will be entitled to a group health plan and retirement benefits.
If the city manager is terminated for anything other than willful misconduct, the employee receives a severance payment in an amount equal to six times her monthly base salary at the end of the 30-day written notice period, the four-page contract continues.
