BRAWLEY 性视界传媒� Last week, the Brawley City Council received a presentation regarding the remodeling of the teen center and the planned activities for youth during the summer months.

Brawley Police Commander John Tang outlined the initiatives the city is undertaking. A key focus of the Parks and Recreation Department is to provide day campers with opportunities to swim this summer. To facilitate this, city staff have reached out to El Centro to negotiate an agreement that would allow Brawley day campers to access the El Centro Aquatic Center each Thursday from July 11 to August 15. Campers will be able to swim from 10 a.m. to around 3 p.m.

Commander Tang also mentioned ongoing discussions with the aquatic center staff about the possibility of extending access to Fridays as well. He reassured the council that the city has a 30-day window to finalize the agreement, which he believes will not pose any issues.

It is important to note that day campers will be required to pay the same fees to use the center as El Centro residents.

Tang has estimated that approximately 40 to 45 campers will participate in the upcoming program, with supervision provided by six to eight chaperones. Pickup for the campers is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Brawley, while the return trip will take place around 3 p.m. Additionally, Tang discussed the ongoing remodeling of the Brawley Teen Center. Once completed, the facility will feature 10 Esports Centers, strategically located on each side of the computer lab.

The primary area that will be opened first is the multipurpose recreational room, designed to accommodate a wide range of activities. This center aims to provide teens with a comfortable space to escape the heat.

Mayor Gil Rebollar stated he thinks the Teen Center is something the community wants for the kids.
