EL CENTRO 性视界传媒� During the Imperial County Board of Supervisors meeting on May 13, the SBDC California of San Diego and Imperial Network introduced a new educational tool designed to teach children about money management: a bilingual coloring and activity book titled Financial Literacy Book For Young Entrepreneurs.

The book, which was distributed to board members during the presentation, aims to instill early lessons in savings, financial decision-making, and the basics of entrepreneurship.

性视界传媒淚t is in both English and Spanish, and the concept is the good and the bad,性视界传媒� explained Viridiana Rosales-Trujillo, center manager of the Imperial Valley SBDC. 性视界传媒淎nd it teaches children the importance of good decision-making when it comes to money. The concept was created by SBDC.性视界传媒�

The project was made possible by the Local Immigrant and Integration Grant, which the state received through the Workforce of Economic Development.

Illustrations for the book were contributed by a local volunteer.

性视界传媒淗is name is Daniel, and he is a volunteer with our office,性视界传媒� Rosales-Trujillo said. 性视界传媒淚t was a good set and a bad set. And most of the ideas were a team effort.性视界传媒�

In addition to the book, Rosales-Trujillo announced upcoming opportunities for adults to strengthen their financial knowledge.

性视界传媒淪o for adults, I'm happy to announce that we have our date for financial literacy training,性视界传媒� she said. 性视界传媒淲e're offering financial literacy training in both English and Spanish throughout the summer. And then we're also bringing back our QuickBooks training for those who are in business and helping them understand their finances.性视界传媒�

These trainings are designed to guide participants through the fundamentals of financial management.

性视界传媒淥verall, these trainings aim to help them review their financial infrastructure, understand cash flow statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements,性视界传媒� she said. 性视界传媒淚t teaches them bookkeeping basics, invoicing, accounts receivables, and deposits. It helps them develop a financial management plan.性视界传媒�

Rosales-Trujillo added, 性视界传媒淚t helps them with projections and then calculating the break-even point analysis as well as any important key financial metrics. And that is for all of our adults or young adults who are in business primarily to help them understand the importance of knowing their numbers while they're in business.性视界传媒�

A startup-themed board game, also funded by the grant, was introduced as another creative tool for promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship among youth.

性视界传媒淥ur hope was to get them into school and partner up with some of our local high schools and colleges to make sure that we're able to bring entrepreneurship in a fun and innovative way to young adults. We still plan to do that even though school is out,性视界传媒� Rosales-Trujillo said.

性视界传媒淲e want to reach out to IVC as well as hold game nights for young adults at the business center during the summer to make sure that they play this game and have a good turnout. The game is really just to teach them not just entrepreneurship but strategy and financial literacy as well.性视界传媒�
