According to the Imperial Valley Economic Development Center, this program is beneficial for participants ranging from entry-level professionals just beginning their careers in procurement to seasoned experts looking to enhance their understanding of the field. The curriculum covers a wide array of topics, including the fundamentals of procurement, effective sourcing strategies, the nuances of supplier relationship management, negotiation techniques, and the evaluation metrics used to assess supplier performance.
This engaging course is organized in collaboration with the ASCM San Fernando Valley Chapter and will take place over a month-long period from June 3 to July 3. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., providing a convenient schedule for participants. The virtual format will be conducted via Zoom, allowing for greater flexibility and accessibility. The total cost for enrolling in this comprehensive program is $925 per participant. In addition to live instruction, the course will include a variety of multimedia resources such as video clips and practice questions to enhance learning and retention.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn an ASCM Supply Chain Procurement Certificate. Additionally, they will receive a digital badge that can be proudly displayed in their email signature and LinkedIn profile, showcasing their accomplishment and enhancing their professional credentials in the rapidly evolving field of supply chain management.
